This was my first evaluation with Dr. Manuel Saint Martin. For the mid-rotation evaluation, me and another student came to campus and presented a written H&P on our separate patients. Dr. Martin was very helpful in his feedback, being a psychiatrist himself, and would ask additional questions during the presentation (which came very useful that same day as I was the only student to get a pimp question right because of the topic Dr. Martin went over). For the final site evaluation, my evaluation was done through Skype. This was my second experience having an evaluation through video, and I believe it went pretty well as well. I submitted 3 of the H&Ps beforehand, 1 article, and 5 pharm cards. I presented the case that was relevant to my article, and Dr. Martin brought up valid points in regard to my patient. I believe I defended my plan for the pt well and my article was recent and pertinent to the topic. Overall, Dr. Martin was a very effective evaluator as he outlined which aspects we should be focusing on in our write-ups and pushed us to support our positions.
